POSITION TITLE: Program Director

LOCATION: Maplewood, NJ

REPORTS TO: General Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Program Director to oversee the development
and execution of all programs at The Little Gym of Maplewood. In this role, you will ensure the
quality and success of our programs while maintaining a positive and professional environment
for children, families, and staff. Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a key role in
driving program growth, maintaining high standards, and delivering an exceptional membership
experience.

The Program Director is responsible for ensuring that all classes and activities meet the high
standards of The Little Gym International. You will oversee curriculum implementation, manage
the instructor team, and ensure that programs are run efficiently and effectively to meet the
needs of our members.

Essential Job Functions
• Lead the planning and execution of all class schedules, ensuring that programs run
smoothly and meet attendance and quality targets.
• Teach engaging classes based on The Little Gym's proven curriculum and teaching
method.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing member concerns and feedback to
improve overall satisfaction.
• Ensure that all classes meet The Little Gym’s high standards for quality and innovation,
regularly assessing content and making improvements as needed.
• Manage the performance and development of program instructors, providing ongoing
training and mentorship to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience.
• Collaborate with the General Manager to set and achieve program goals, including
growth in membership and customer retention.
• Oversee the safety and upkeep of all program equipment and facilities, ensuring
compliance with safety protocols.
• Develop new programs and activities that align with The Little Gym’s mission and meet
the needs of local families.
• Actively participate in community outreach efforts to promote the programs and
increase enrollment.
• Maintain open communication with parents and guardians to ensure they are informed
and engaged in their children’s progress.

Qualifications
• Proven experience in program management, preferably in child development,
education, physical fitness, or a related field.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and manage a team of instructors.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Experience working with children and a passion for fostering their growth and
development.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to address member feedback and
concerns professionally.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment while maintaining attention to
detail.
• A background in child development, physical education, or gymnastics is a plus.
• Experience developing and implementing programs to meet business growth goals is
preferred.
